History of the AABCThe Archives Association of British Columbia (AABC) was established in 1990 through the amalgamation of the Association of British Columbia Archivists and the B.C. Archives Council. The merging of these two organizations has allowed the AABC to speak on behalf of both archivists and archival institutions across the province. As a member of the Canadian Council of Archives, the Association represents archival institutions in British Columbia at the national level.
Charitable StatusThe AABC is a registered charity (Charitable Status Number: 86502-2529-RR0001). Tax receipts are issued for all donations of $20.00 or more. To support the work of the Association in helping preserve and make accessible British Columbia's documentary heritage, people are asked to download and print a donation form and mail it, along with their financial contribution, to the AABC address below.
