Since 2000, Archives Week has been the annual celebration to draw public attention to the importance of the province's nearly 200 archival institutions.
Each year, you are encouraged to think of ways that your institution can celebrate Archives Week in your community. Your activity does not have to be related to the year’s chosen theme; the goal is to raise public awareness of the importance of archival records.
Plan an event to showcase your archives and raise public awareness. Ideas include: creating an exhibit, organizing an open house, giving tours, offering special workshops or seminars or writing an article for the local newspaper.
