Canadian Archives Summit Follow-Up

The Archives Association of B.C. and the iSchool at UBC are co-hosting a follow-up meeting to the Canadian Archives Summit for archivists and interested parties who were unable to make it to a regional site on January 17th. We hope that if you are coming to the ACA Student Symposium on  Feb. 14, you might consider coming out to UBC a day early to attend our follow-up!

Time:  Thursday, February 13th, 3:00-6:30 pm
Place: Dodson Room (room 302, within the Chapman Learning Commons) in the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre

In Advance of the Meeting

To make the best use of our limited time together as a group, please

Read: The Thought Leaders' papers here:  http://archivists.ca/content/resources-canadian-archives-summit
View: The Summit at  https://webcasts.welcome2theshow.com/ACA2014/2034  (edited versions without the transitions, etc may be made available by the ACA in the next couple of weeks).

Luciana Duranti from the iSchool and Kelly Stewart, Archives Advisor for the AABC, will help lead our discussions, framed around the following questions:

1. What do you see as the key issues for the New Blueprint?

2. Do you have any comments about the presentations made at the Summit or on the Thought Leaders' Background Papers that are available online?

3. What do you see as the priority actions that are required to ensure the success of the New Blueprint?

4. Do you have any other comments, ideas or recommendations?

Notes will be taken and a summary will be submitted to the Summit organizers for inclusion in their recommendations.

You are also welcome to send comments as an individual:

Hope to see you on  Feb. 13!
