You will be notified by the Chair of the Membership Committee when your application has been received. Please note that consideration of an institutional membership application requires both review by the Membership Committee and Executive approval of the subsequent recommendation. As a result, feedback regarding the status of an application may take upwards of three to four months.

* How to Calculate Your Operating Budget

An institution's operating budget pertains only to easily identifiable costs directly related to the
operation of the archives. This may include expenses, such as salary, equipment, supplies, etc.
For those institutional members that operate in conjunction with non "archival" programs (e.g. FOI/POP, records management, library, museum and/or art gallery) and share a budget, an approximation may be determined by the appropriate authority (e.g.,finance department, treasurer etc.) or by calculating a breakdown of costs of archival and non "archival" responsibilities. The AABC does not intend this to be a burden but an informed estimate of the operating costs.
