Call for AABC Executive nominations

The Archives Association of BC's 2012 Annual General Meeting will be held on the morning of Saturday April 21st, at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre, UBC.  Further details, including the AGM package which will be accessible on the AABC web site under the AGM page, will be made available as soon as possible.

Nominations have been received for all three Executive Committee positions which fall vacant this year:

Vice-President for the 2012-2014 term 

Secretary for the 2012-2014 term 

Institutional Member-at-Large for the 2012-2014 term.

Further nominations of eligible candidates for any of these positions, including nominations from the floor of the meeting, will be accepted until the morning of April 21st 2012. 

Additionally, due to the recent resignation of VP Courtney Mumma, the position of President will be vacant.  The Nominations Committee has nominated Christine Gergich, current Treasurer, to the position of President for the 2012-13 year.  The Nominations Committee has also nominated Suher Zaher-Mazawi to the position of Treasurer to serve the remainder of the 2011-13 term.  These two nominations will be open for ratification at the Annual General Meeting.

The Executive is open to self-nominations for membership of certain Committees at this time. We should welcome offers to serve on the Conference, Finance, Grants, Nominations, and Programs Committees.
